Tudor London can be described as a _prosperous_ city during the Tudor dynasty. In fact, the population increased from _75000_ inhabitants with Henry VII to _200000_ at the end of the 16th century.
The Tudor monarchs had a royal residence in London called _Whitehall_ and another in the countryside, called _Hampton court_, after _Cardinal Wolsey_ gave it to Henry VIII.These Tudor kings and queens used what are now famous parks , such as _Hyde Park_ or _St. James' Park_, as Royal hunting forests.
Not many Tudor buildings survive today, mostly because of _The Great Fire_ , which happened in _1666_. Besides, , the 13 religious houses in London were _converted for private use_ or _pulled down for building materials_ after the Dissolution of the monasteries, which was _Henry VIII most decisive step agains the power of the church in 1538_.
Apart from that, the theatres were banned from the city by _the city authorities or guilts_ because _plays wasted workmen's time_. Then, they were built in _the southwark_, where now a reconstruction of the _Globe_ can be visited to learn about Tudor theatre.
At that time, London's financial rival was the city of _Amsterdam_, and to be able to compete with it , the _international exchange_ was created in _1566_.
So, all in all, and because of many other events and facts, we can say that both London and England were _powerfull about Tudors theatre_.

MOST POPULAR PLACES FROM LONDON:

Big Ben

The Clock Tower is the world's largest four-faced, chiming turret clock. The structure is situated at the north-eastern end of the Houses of Parliament building in Westminster, London, United Kingdom. It is often mistakenly called "Big Ben" — which is actually the main bell housed within the Clock Tower. The Clock Tower has also been referred to as St Stephen's Tower or The Tower of Big Ben or Big Tom. However, St Stephen's Tower is actually towards the middle of the Palace, and is the main point of entry for attendees of debates and committees.

Buckingham Palace

Today, Buckingham Palace is not only the weekday home of the Queen and Prince Philip but also the London residence of the Duke of York and the Earl and Countess of Wessex. The palace also houses the offices of the Royal Household and is the workplace of 450 people. Every year some 50,000 invited guests are entertained at garden parties, receptions, audiences, and banquets. The Garden Parties, usually three, are held in the summer, usually in July. The Forecourt of Buckingham Palace is used for Changing of the Guard, a major ceremony and tourist attraction (daily during the summer months; every other day during the winter).

London bridge

Tower Bridge is a bascule bridge in London, England over the River Thames. It is close to the Tower of London, which gives it its name. It has become an iconic symbol of London and is sometimes mistakenly called London Bridge, which is actually the next bridge upstream. The bridge is owned and maintained by Bridge House Estates, a charitable trust overseen by the Corporation of London.

London eye

The London Eye, also known as the Millennium Wheel, is an observation wheel that completed construction in 1999 and opened to the public in March, 2000. It is the tallest observation wheel in the world. It was opened by British Prime Minister Tony Blair at 20:00 GMT on December 31, 1999, although it was not opened to the public until March 2000 because of technical problems. Since its opening, the Eye, operated by Merlin Entertainments but sponsored by British Airways, has become a major landmark and tourist attraction.
